how many years I've been alive as of January 30, 2012. Also, the age Sarah in the above video was when she heard for the first time; she was born deaf.

There I was, about to throw a pity party because of the challenge of meeting my support-raising goal, which is standard procedure for most stay-at-home missionaries or "missions mobilizers", when I watched this video (via Stuff Christians Like) of her experiencing the miracle of hearing thanks to an implant.

I've been full-time staff in this capacity for Adventures in Missions since September 2010 and I've been loving it.

For over 22 years, we've sent 90,000+ men, women and teens to care for orphans, pray for the sick and watch God heal them, befriend the lonely, stand up for the oppressed, preach the gospel, feed the hungry... the things that Jesus did.

And I get to be the one telling & sharing those stories. And from 2008-2009, I was one of those 90,000 people -- I went on the World Race. I also went to the Dominican Republic (DR) shortly after the Haiti earthquake to help the local church in the DR respond.

I've seen that in telling stories, I become a part of them. And by supporting me, you are a part of it, too.

Together, we get to send the workers that Jesus said are so hard to come by, for the harvest there is so much of.
